We would like to invite members to attend our Autumn Business Forum Event. Our speaker will be Jeffrey Pfeffer Ph.D, who is the Thomas D. Dee II Professor of Organisational Behaviour in the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, where he has taught since 1979. Professor Pfeffer’s research interests focus on social psychological and institutional barriers to the implementation of high-commitment work practices, organisational human resource practices, power and influence in leadership. He is the author or co-author of 10 books and he has published more than 100 articles and book chapters. Dr Pfeffer also taught at the business schools at the University of Illinois and the University of California, Berkeley, he has also been a visiting professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School. He received his B.S. in Administration and Management Science and his M.S. in Industrial Administration from Carnegie-Mellon University. Dr Pfeffer obtained his Ph.D in Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. We hope that you can come along, it should be a very interesting evening.
