Due to the popularity of our last Wine Tasting night, we are please to announce our forthcoming Wine Event.... The theme of the wine tasting is to stay very firmly in the Northern Hemisphere and examine the wines of France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

We will not be looking in too much depth at soil types, climate and viticultural techniques, but more at the style of wines themselves and why perhaps they don’t necessarily conform to the norm.? The wine makers themselves are fascinating characters, and in many cases have paved the way for much needed change within their particular regions. Comparing Germany and Alsace, look at two brilliant Domaines in Burgundy and tackle traditional Claret.? Taste some sensational reds from Spain, Italy and Portugal, none of which are typical of the better- known wines of the countries and indeed are very hard to find.

In addition to discovering some new wines, there is also some work to be done in the form of a blind wine or two to taste, wines which will be connected in some way with those already tasted.? A Magnum of Champagne goes to the nearest correct answer!

Ticket Price: £20 booked by June 2nd ; £25 thereafter or at the door
