| Fifty Stanford Club of Great Britain members and their guests met at the Goldman Sachs Conference Centre to hear the Ambassadors of Poland, Romania, Slovenia and the Czech Republic discuss their respective countries’ position regarding EU entry. The four frank and informative presentations left the audience full of questions for the high-ranking diplomatic panellists. A lively 45 minute question and answer session followed, covering a wide range of issues pertinent to Central and Eastern Europe. Drinks followed until well after our allotted time with all the Ambassadors except one staying until almost the very end. Thank you to one and all for making the event such a success! |
