We are delighted to announce our annual ballet event and a rare treat to see the ballet "Sylvia".
Guests will also meet at the first interval for a glass of wine and canapés.
Please book early for this popular event.
Not seen since 1965, set in mythical Greece, the ballet tells the tale of Sylvia whose vows of chastity mean she cannot return the love of the shepherd Aminta. Eros, up to his tricks intervenes, only to see Sylvia abducted by the hunter Orlon. Rescuing her. Eros finally brings the lovers together. More recently familiar in a one act version, it has now been restored to its opulent three act form to mark the beginning of the Ashton 100 celebrations.
