A revered classical statue, for centuries thought to be a Roman original, is suddenly proved to be merely a 16th century cast. But is it worth less? And has it also become less beautiful? Personal rivalries and professional reputations clash as Art and Science join battle in this highly entertaining and topical new play. She's a top art historian in a world-famous museum. He's a professor of chemistry brought in to date a priceless artwork. She 's in pursuit of artistic truth, he wants scientific truth. But can these two cultures ever be compatible? And how far will each go to prove themselves right and the other wrong? Let battle commence!
