Join us for a country walk in Essex through the Stour Valley

Come explore 15km (9.3 miles) of English countryside, including many places that inspired the painter John Constable. We will take a train from Liverpool Street Station to Manningtree, walk a few miles, stop for a pub lunch, and then continue onwards. Depending on the group's preferences, we can stop for a cream tea or a pint at the end of the walk. We should be back in central London in time for dinner. The walk will be led by Nigel Triner an environmental scientist with years of hiking and mountaineering experience. A great chance for London-lovers to get out and see a bit more of England!

When: June 25, 2005 9 am - 6 pm (email for exact meeting place and time)

Cost: Free. Bring your hiking boots/ walking shoes, water, and enough money to cover your train fare and meals.
