Members of the Stanford Club have been invited to attend the Annual Harkness Lecture.
Annual Harkness Lecture by Sir Crispin Tickell GCMG KCVO, “The Threat to Cities: Hazards of Environmental Change” There will be an opportunity for questions afterwards. Sir Crispin Tickell is the Director of the Policy Foresight Programme at the James Martin Institute for Science and Civilization at Oxford University. He has had a distinguished career in the diplomatic service, including as Ambassador to Mexico (1981-83) and British Permanent Representative to the United Nations (1987-90). He has also been Chancellor of the University of Kent (1996-2006). He is author of Climate Change and World Affairs (1977 and 1986). He was a member of a Government Task Force on Urban Regeneration. His main interests are in the field of the environment and international affairs. There is no charge for this event SCGB Members and guests are welcome. The lecture is co-hosted by King's College London. There will be a reception following the lecture.
